This October Barossa's Eden Valley wine region celebrates EVERYTHING RIESLING!

A month to tantalize your taste buds and immerse yourself in some of the world's oldest Riesling vines. Eden Valley's first Riesling vines were established at Pewsey Vale in 1847 by Joseph Gilbert. An exceptional landscape of rolling hills and rocky terrain formed over 500 million years ago. Discover why this variety has stood the test of time, endured harsh frosts, severe droughts and consumer scrutiny but today it is now more popular than ever.

Taste Eden Valley Regional Wine Room offers an array of Riesling's, located in Barossa's beautiful town of Angaston. Featuring over thirty single vineyard wines from producers without cellar doors and is today also known as ‘The House of Riesling’.

This October we entice you to attend a Riesling Masterclass privately hosted by the wine producers themselves. An opportunity to immerse yourselves as we showcase a selection of premium Rieslings exclusively from the Eden Valley region. Your Riesling masterclass will feature premium wines from some of the oldest vineyards but most importantly, first class. Discover the first Sparkling Riesling produced by Chaffey Bros Wine Co. to leading five star Halliday rated Rieslings. Dry, lean and crisp styles to fruit driven texture, mouth-watering cellar releases and finally a sweet fortified Riesling.

Riesling Masterclass: A Riesling flight featuring a selection of wine styles, wine producers and the opportunity to Meet The Maker.

Gatt Wines plateaus over the majestic landscape of the Barossa situated in the High Eden region with an altitude of 460 to 515m. The vineyards were established in 1972 and set amongst a landscape of undulating hills and ancient soils, with vines deeply rooted into layers of volcanic rock and opulent soil structure. The iconic vineyard site was formerly known as ‘Eden Springs’ until Ray Gatt acquired the landholding in 2006 with vision to revitalise and recreate wines of high distinction. Old vines of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Riesling have stood the test of time with the addition of Pinot Gris in 2006. The vineyards and wines are hand crafted under Ray’s guidance to deliver wines of complexity, structure and classical Eden Valley elegance.
