The 2011 Four Corners Shiraz/Cabernet is vibrant and bright, showing fresh and lifted red fruits, violets, spice, pepper and fine grained tannins. It is lively, medium bodied and well structured.
As the Poonawatta team report "We decided that the Four Corners should be a showcase of the diversity and style of the Eden Valley region, by sourcing small parcels of fruit from separate vineyards across the four corners of Eden Valley, sourced from growers (and vineyards) that are well known to us, plus any de-classified barrels from the Poonawatta 1880 and Cuttings vineyard.
All the vineyards are assessed separately to ensure each parcel of fruit delivers its best individual expression of the Eden Valley region. They are picked separately, fermented separately and oak matured separately, and after barrel maturation, are blended together to create our expression of Eden Valley – a wine that displays the beauty of the Eden Valley region in a single bottle.
