Gatt Wines

Gatt Wines plateaus over the majestic landscape of the Barossa situated in the High Eden region with an altitude of 460 to 515m. The vineyards were established in 1972 and set amongst a landscape of undulating hills and ancient soils, with vines deeply rooted into layers of volcanic rock and opulent soil structure. The iconic vineyard site was formerly known as ‘Eden Springs’ until Ray Gatt acquired the landholding in 2006 with vision to revitalise and recreate wines of high distinction. Old vines of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Riesling have stood the test of time with the addition of Pinot Gris in 2006. The vineyards and wines are hand crafted under Ray’s guidance to deliver wines of complexity, structure and classical Eden Valley elegance.
