Vermentino is a much loved Italian white wine variety. It's light and dry with flavours of lemon, grapefruit and mineral notes with a crisp refreshing finish. Seafood is the ideal food match with this wine and freshly shucked oysters is heaven. Other food to accompany Vermentino is roast chicken or a fresh Asian pork salad.
Garden & Field first planted Vermentino in 2009 by hand and established in their Eden Valley vineyard with rainfall only to water the vines. Being a Mediterranean variety it relishes the dry and hot climate the Barossa region offers and has produced an excellent drinking summer wine.
